Provide Engineering support toward the processes and equipment. Provide technical expertise to promote best practices for continuous improvement of products and services.
• Supports the manufacturing, engineering, and quality operations.
• Apply continuous improvement processes such as visual factory management, value stream mapping, 5S, quick changeover, mistake-proofing, Kaizen blitz.
• Research, develop and prepare specifications for improvements to existing and/or new products, processes, equipment, and technology.
• Manage and Support projects by contributing to the development of engineering solutions, project schedules, tracking costs, preparing status reports, conducting team meetings, attending team meetings, communicating issues and progress to management.
• Supervise and direct contract personnel and outside vendors in the performance of contracted services. Provide leadership and guidance to subordinates within the Engineering organization.
• Supervise daily activities of all levels of Engineering Aides.
• Provide direction and technical decision making for management involving capital asset purchases and expenses for projects and/or strategic activities (capital/expense/revenue potentials).
• Prepare and present technical investigative reports to management.
• Moderate degree of both internal and external personnel interfaces.
• Preparation of specifications and protocols for the development, testing and qualification of equipment, processes and products.
• Communicate both verbally and written, project activities to management.
